Training.gov.au will identify changes to qualifications with listed core and electives.
Superseded and equivalent qualifications or units
The QCAA will automatically add to scope qualifications or units that have been identified as equivalent and that are being delivered as core or listed electives.
Imported units
The QCAA will not automatically update electives that your school RTO has imported for a qualification. In these instances, your school RTO will need to apply to add a qualification and/or units to scope using the VET app in the QCAA Portal.
Superseded but not equivalent qualifications or units
The QCAA will not automatically update the qualification and/or the core and elective units that are not identified as equivalent. In these instances, the RTO will need to apply to add the new qualification and/or units to scope using the VET app in the QCAA Portal.
Packaging rules and superseded units
It is mandatory to use the core and select from listed electives based on the packaging rules. This is the case even if the core or listed electives have been superseded or deleted elsewhere.
Note: It is your school RTO’s responsibility to review changes, ensure the relevant TAS and trainer and assessor profiles are compliant, and that the correct units of competencies are being delivered to students. This means ensuring students are transitioned into any relevant replacement units of competency as determined by the qualification’s packaging rules.
