Senior Education Profile for non-school students

Students who do not meet the QCE requirements at the end of Year 12 can continue to work towards their certificate. Once a person becomes eligible, the QCAA will award a QCE in the following July or December.

Students are able to download electronic versions of the certificates and statements in their SEP via their learning account in the Student Portal on the myQCE website.

The electronic versions are official documents. They include a digital signature and a unique validation code to confirm they are authentic. Employers or further education providers can also check their authenticity with the QCAA.

Students may also request a print copy of their SEP from the QCAA. The following timeframes and request methods apply:

Timeframe

Request method

End of year certification

Students can submit a request via their learning account by 31 January (of the year following certification).
Print copies are free of charge and are posted in March, once applications for verification have been finalised.

Mid-year certification

Students can submit a request via their learning account by 31 August (in the year of certification).
Print copies are free of charge and are posted in September, once applications for verification have been finalised.

Late applications Requests received outside of the above timeframes will need to apply to the QCAA for a print copy. Payment will be required for each printed copy.
Note: students are able to download official electronic copies of their SEP via their learning account at any time.

For non-school students, the Senior Education Profile may contain:

  • Statement of Results

A transcript of a student’s learning account. The statement of results shows all QCE-contributing studies and the results achieved that may contribute to the award of a QCE.

  • Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE)

The Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) is Queensland's senior secondary schooling qualification. To be issued with a QCE, students need to complete the set amount of learning, at the set standard, in a set pattern, while meeting literacy and numeracy requirements.
