Max Beckmann

What are you doing this year?

Tiah Kalaja

I'm studying a Bachelor of Laws Honors.

Aidan Chumbley

I plan on studying physics in the UK.

Seungho (James) Shin

I'll be studying a Bachelor of Medical Science.

Max Beckmann

I'm going to be studying a degree in math science and medical science.

Parmida Darouei

I'm doing physiotherapy at University of Queensland.

Seungho (James) Shin

What are your future goals?

Parmida Darouei

I'm not exactly sure of what my future goals are.

Aidan Chumbley

I want to research physics. So I'm going to try and pursue a PhD in physics.

Max Beckmann

I want to do a job where I'm solving cool problems.

Seungho (James) Shin

I'd enjoy running a clinic and seeing patients day in, day out.

Parmida Darouei

Good work life balance, be able to, you know, if I have a family, you know, put a lot of attention on them, and both be like a strong career person.

Max Beckmann

Cracking things and like using maths in a practical sense.

Tiah Kalaja

I hope to make a change in the legal system, particularly in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander rights, because that's something I'm really passionate about, really close to home.

Aidan Chumbley

Who inspires you?

Seungho (James) Shin

Bach, right? Like Bach, the musician, J S Bach. His music has been there, like all throughout my schooling life, to listen to while studying or relaxing.

Parmida Darouei

Okay…

Max Beckmann

Doing my best I'd say.

Seungho (James) Shin

I play violin and flute and also a bit of piccolo on the side, and that's really been able to connect me to the community other than just studying throughout year 11 and 12.

Parmida Darouei

I'm very passionate about leadership, very passionate about performing arts.

Aidan Chumbley

Physics is definitely a major passion of mine, because I love the ability to explore the world with it.

Parmida Darouei

Helping people as well.

Tiah Kalaja

I'm passionate about social justice because of the way I've grown up and with my family, they've been very vocal and advocates for that ever since I was young.

Tiah Kalaja

What motivates you to achieve your goals?

Max Beckmann

I'd say it's mostly intrinsic.

Parmida Darouei

I think about my future a lot, and I know that happiness is so important to me.

Max Beckmann

I'll always try and do as well as I can, just for the sake of doing as well as I can.

Parmida Darouei

Being able to support myself, being able to do whatever I want, travel anywhere I want.

Aidan Chumbley

It's the discovery, the ability to know there's stuff out there that you don't know or haven't experienced, and then find a way to be able to experience it or to be able to know it.

Seungho (James) Shin

That feeling you get when you reach the end of something really difficult, whether it be like a really challenging piece I'm learning, or a very hard math question or physics question on the external paper.

Tiah Kalaja

I feel like in Year 12 there is so much that happens that there's obviously going to be parts where you do start to lose motivation.

Max Beckmann

There's plenty of pressure to keep studying and just like, study the whole day.

Tiah Kalaja

In those points, I kind of try and remind myself, like, well, why did I start? Or, like, why did I begin doing this? What made me want to do this in the first place?

Aidan Chumbley

Take a step back and you can look at everything you have done and how far you've come, and how that was a challenge, and now where you're at.

Parmida Darouei

It is hard, I will admit it is hard and like, but yeah, in the end, I know that it was so worth it, and I don't regret it a bit.
