Schools develop and submit summative internal assessment instruments for General and General (Extension) subjects and Essential English and Essential Mathematics using the Endorsement application in the QCAA Portal.
Schools will find the following video presentation useful to view before developing assessment instruments for endorsement.
Access
The Endorsement application will appear as a tile for QCAA Portal users assigned an Endorsement application role. The roles are as follows.
Role | Function of the role | Assign to |

Editor | Creates assessment instruments for their subject/s | Teachers Note: The QCAA has pre-assigned the Editor role to teachers who have a QCAA Portal account. |
Approver | Checks the assessment instruments created | Heads of Department / Curriculum Leaders / Subject Leaders |
Submitter | Finalises the assessment instruments for all subjects and submits them for endorsement | Principal’s delegate |
Access Management Organisation Administrators in schools should assign the relevant Endorsement application role to appropriate staff via the Access Management application.
