Amendments have been made to the Chemistry General Senior Syllabus 2019 v1.4 to strengthen and clarify assessment guidance for Units 1 and 2.
Unit 1 assessment guidance
The assessment guidance has been amended to suggest that student performance on Unit 1 is assessed using a research investigation and an examination that includes some items modelled on the data test.
Unit 2 assessment guidance
The assessment guidance has been amended to suggest that student performance on Unit 2 is assessed using a student experiment and an examination that includes some items modelled on the data test.
The Chemistry General Senior Syllabus 2019 v1.4 and associated resources are available in the QCAA Portal. A PDF of the syllabus is also available on the QCAA website.
