Amendments have been made to the Modern History General Senior Syllabus 2019.
Summative internal assessment 2 (IA2): Investigation — independent source investigation
The description has been amended for clarity — ‘investigation’ has replaced ‘historical topic of their choice’.
The specifications have been amended for clarity — ‘Schools select and contextualise one topic’ has replaced ‘The investigation will focus on any of the Topics 1–13’.
Summative internal assessment 3 (IA3): Investigation — historical essay based on research
The following amendments have been made to the specifications for clarity:
- ‘For the IA3’ has been removed
- ‘not nominated by the QCAA as the basis for external assessment’ has been added
- the second bullet point has been removed.
The Modern History General Senior Syllabus 2019 (v1.2) and associated resources are available in the QCAA Portal. The syllabus is also available on the QCAA website.
