Amendments have been made to the Literature General Senior Syllabus 2019.
Text selection
The text selection requirements in Section 1.2.5 for Units 1 and 2 have been clarified to state that students must study one complete play, one complete prose text and one complete film or episode of a television series as part of the school-based selection of texts from the categories indicated.
Summative internal assessment 1 (IA1): Examination — analytical written response
The instrument-specific marking guide has been amended. In the Textual features criterion, ‘and’ has replaced ‘and/or’ in the third characteristic in the 1-mark performance level descriptor.
Minor amendments have been made to Assessment objective 11 to improve clarity, strengthen alignment to ISMGs and increase consistency across the English learning area.
Summative internal assessment 2 (IA2): Extended response — imaginative spoken/multimodal response
The instrument-specific marking guide has been amended. In the Textual features criterion, ‘and’ has replaced ‘and/or’ in the third characteristic in the 1-mark performance level descriptor.

Glossary
'Complementary features' has been added to the Glossary.
