Amendments have been made to the Drama General Senior Syllabus 2019.
Unit 1
An inquiry question has been amended for clarity.
Unit 2
The suggested texts have been updated to strengthen alignment to subject matter.
Unit 3
Subject matter has been amended for clarity.
Summative internal assessment 1 (IA1): Performance
The conditions of the assessment have been amended to include submission information.
The ‘Interpreting purpose and context’ criterion in the instrument-specific marking guide has been amended for clarity.
Summative internal assessment 2 (IA2): Project — dramatic concept
In the assessment specifications:
- the description has been amended for clarity
- the conditions have been amended to reflect changes to word limit and to include submission information.
The ‘Devising and arguing a dramatic concept’ criterion in the instrument-specific marking guide has been amended for clarity.
Summative internal assessment 3 (IA3): Project — practice-led project
In the assessment specifications:
- the description has been amended for clarity
- the conditions have been amended to include submission information.
The ‘Applying and evaluating the use of dramatic languages’ and ‘Interpreting purpose and context’ criteria in the instrument-specific marking guide have been amended for clarity.
Summative external assessment (EA): Examination — extended response
Assessment objectives 4 and 7 have been amended for clarity.
Glossary
Contemporary Political Theatre has been added to the glossary.
