Amendments have been made to the Study of Religion General Senior Syllabus 2019.
Summative internal assessment 1: Examination — extended response
The specifications of the task have been amended to ensure consistency across the syllabus.
The instrument-specific marking guide has been amended to better describe evidence required for the following criteria:
- Describing and demonstrating understanding
- Evaluating and drawing conclusions
- Creating.
Summative internal assessment 2: Investigation — inquiry response
The specifications of the task have been amended for clarity.
The instrument-specific marking guide has been amended to better describe evidence required for the following criteria:
- Demonstrating understanding
- Evaluating and drawing conclusions
- Considering, organising and creating.
Summative internal assessment 3: Investigation — inquiry response
The specifications of the task have been amended for clarity.
The instrument-specific marking guide has been amended to better describe evidence required for the following criteria:
- Demonstrating understanding
- Evaluating and drawing conclusions
- Considering, organising and creating.
Summative external assessment: Examination — short response
The specifications of the task have been amended to allow for flexibility in the external assessment.
Assessment guidance
Unit 1 and Unit 2 guidance has been amended to support schools, especially those that may decide to implement a concurrent delivery model.
Subject matter
Subject matter has been modified as follows:
- Unit 3 Topic 2: Ethical relationships — ‘from sources’ has been added to ‘consider and organise’ for clarity.
