The QCAA's review of the Queensland kindergarten learning guideline (QKLG) (2018) during 2023 and 2024 aimed to:
- align the QKLG with Belonging, Being and Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia V2.0 (EYLF V2.0)
- cater for three-year-olds accessing early education and care in kindergarten.
The review was prompted by Australian education ministers approving updates to the EYLF V2.0 in December 2022.
A draft QKLG for public consultation was published in March 2024 and a final version in August 2024.
