The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) issues official academic certificates, including the Senior Education Profile (SEP) and QCE Achievement Award certificates, electronically.
Students can download their official SEP certificates and statements and QCE Achievement Award certificates from their learning account in the Student Portal on the myQCE website.
- Each document in the SEP includes the student’s legal name, learner unique identifier (LUI), a unique document ID, and a QR code.
- QCE Achievement Awards certificates include the student’s LUI and a unique document ID only
There are several ways that employers, further education providers, and other organisations can verify the authenticity of these certificates and statements:
- Electronic signature – digital certificates and statements feature a blue digital signature panel along the top, certifying that they are authentic QCAA documents and have not been altered.
- Via QR code – scanning the QR code on a SEP certificate or statement directs users to a unique web page displaying the student’s name, document, date issued, and results, confirming its authenticity. The URL will contain the QCAA domain name (www.qcaa.qld.edu.au).
- Via the QCAA website – users can enter the student’s family name, LUI, and the unique document ID from the bottom of the certificate or statement to verify its authenticity.
